They Says;

Ajay Jain travelled to find tales, which he then published on the kunzum Art and literature blog in the form of books, images, films, and blogs.

Ajay feared he’d lost his way on a vehicle excursion to the barren, high altitude desert region of Spiti in the Indian Himalayas in 2007 — until he came across the stunning Kunzum La. (pass). He discovered the path to his objective and his genuine mission in life. As a result, he describes himself as a traveller, novelist, photographer, and journalist.

Ajay has had a fantastic adventure since then. He has published many books (both print and electronic), displayed his images, and given presentations and recounted stories at various forums across the world. Apart from kunzum Art and literature blog he broadened his writing portfolio to include fiction, marketing, branding, and personal development, in addition to travel.

He also established the popular Kunzum Travel Café in 2010 as a meeting place for travellers, but it has now expanded into a platform for all sorts of creations including films, poetry, literature, art, theatre, music, photography, and more. All over a cup of coffee, with visitors free to pay what they like. Yes, there is no menu, and there is no bill.

He’s been travelling the world for over two decades, but driving across the Indian subcontinent is his first passion. At the time of writing, he had driven nearly 100,000 kilometres (60,000 miles) in his automobile, including a trip over the whole motorable expanse of the Himalayas, which included India, Nepal, and Bhutan.

His view on life has been that of an adventurer, on a never-ending search for discovery through dabbling in various activities. He earned degrees in engineering and management and then worked in technology and sports management before settling into a full-time career in media, writing, and photography.

Ajay earned a master’s degree in journalism from the United Kingdom and went on to write for major media outlets, establish his youth newspaper, pursue professional blogging, and finally sit down to create books. On travel, marketing, and personal growth. And fiction as well. He also founded the well-known Kunzum Travel Café, a social hub that also serves as a showcase for his photography art.

The human connection has always appealed to Ajay, and he has derived the greatest satisfaction from his work on portraitures – visual and written. And thus Nikita, his first work of fiction based on a true story.

kunzum Art and literature blog is starting on a new adventure, this time into the realm of literature. The popular Kunzum Travel Cafe will soon sell books in the same way that any other bookstore does. The collections, however, will be carefully chosen — even as we keep the coffee, events, and sense of community.

We hope to create a (physical) location where authors, readers, editors, designers, publishers, and others may gather for the love of books! We started in Hauz Khas Village in New Delhi and are now moving to other locations.
