Travel blog IndiTales began its journey in 2004. I had no clue how this would develop when I first started writing, but my two hobbies have dominated this website throughout the years: travel and books. AnuReviews has a section dedicated to book reviews. Over time, I began writing for print magazines.
This blog began with me sharing my travel adventures, but it has grown thanks to you, the readers. I organise my excursions depending on the new places and activities you tell me about. It motivates me to write more when you tell me that my travel stories helped you select your next vacation.
Courtesy IndiTales, I’ve visited 18 nations and every nook and cranny of India. I’ve spoken at tourism conferences, travel and tourism events, and student community events, and have mentored a few travel businesses. The mainstream media has been gracious in covering both IndiTales and me as the author.
I enjoy strolling around towns, along natural walks, and beside rivers. Check out our walking path series covering all of India’s main cities. Our goal with IndiTales is to have a long-term influence on India’s tourist sector.
Travel (and tourism) make the world a better place in my opinion. Travellers are generally cheerful individuals, and it is practically difficult to dislike the people you have met. Few professions are lucky to be in a joyful place; most are preoccupied with addressing difficulties and dealing with calamities. Blessed to be in a position where you may encourage people to dream of travelling distant lands as well as a glance about and find their backyard.
In my previous avatar, I worked in the IT business for almost a decade. I’ve been out of the workforce for ten years. My bread and butter are consulting in Business Innovation. I wrote the book The Mouse Charmers – Digital Pioneers of India, which was released by Random House a few years ago.

Shashi (my better half and co-owner of this site) helps me with many parts of the blog. He took the majority of the bird photos used on IndiTales.
